Anyone have a spare cup?

Let's see what else my kids can get into...but hey, it is too hot to play outside, so why not make a pyramid of cups??? Oh, and yes that is my little "H" with the short hair... she thought she would like to chop off her hair on Sunday...yes, I was trying to sleep again and no, I don't think I'll be sleeping on Sundays anymore! BLAST 8:00am church!!! Where were we? Okay.... the finished product. Over 5 ft tall and about 250 cups! It stayed up for a while, until I was making dinner and accidentally knocked it over---wow, what a sight that was! Right into my enchilada sauce. And yes, she had fun cleaning that up too. :)

Dive Team

"S" started diving this summer. I am so impressed that she can do this. It makes me a little nervous, but I admire that she has the guts to take the plunge. Here is her favorite-- back dive. This was her 1st dive meet. Here is her perfect "straight jump" And her first ever dive meet ribbon. 7th place! She did awesome!

Welcome to Snow World!

This was the sign I found on my gate. Okay, I hope this makes you laugh. I just bought a new vanity for a bathroom we are remodeling. The packing foam that protects it was discovered by my children. As I was taking a long peaceful nap on Sunday, my children, who I thought were being so considerate to be quiet, were actually in the side yard making snow world! They were so excited to show me that I couldn't get angry. Could they look happier?
They even went as far as making a ton of these tickets to sell around the neighborhood for 10 cents. They made a wopping $1.50. The neighborhood kids had so much fun making more snow.

And yes, they did have fun cleaning it up. :)

Locks of Love :)

"S" been bugging me for about a year to cut her hair off. So, finally we did and we are donating her hair to "Locks of Love". ps. This is not the time to cut your hair off when you are going to be in diving every day and you have really natural curly hair that takes an hour to dry and straighten !!! Arggh! Oh, well she likes it! It also looks really cute when its curly. She said something funny to me the other day... "Mom, it's too bad your hair doesn't look good curly." hmmmm.

Puerto Vallarta

We had our 10 year anniversary back in January, and decided to wait until May to go on a sweet trip! Steve had just graduated from ASU, and I had just finished my recitals so we were ready for a break. One week in Puerto Vallarta- without kids. It took a few days to get used to the peace and quiet. I realized I'm glad I have kids. It's way too quiet without them around! I did get a lot of reading done. 3 books including "Twilight". But too much relaxing gets boring!!! Enough of this relaxation crap! How much lying around on the beach can one person handle??? By the third day, I talked Steve into doing an excursion. We went on a Canopy tour--15 zip lines down a mountain. Highest one was 500 feat above ground, and the longest one was 1/4 of a mile. Super fun! We had so much fun on that one that we went on another tour--Sea Safari. Snorkling, Kayaking, hiking and a BBQ on a private beach. I don't know if I've ever had so much fun. I'd go back just to do the excursions.

It was really cool of our resort to have boogie boards and kayaks for us to use--no charge. We took this huge kayak out and rode the waves in on it. That was fun-that is until we hit a huge wave sideways and I flew out of the kayak and it hit my head--no damage (that I know of :) Steve wouldn't let me go out on it again. :(
Steve liked to pick up weird dead creatures.
Blow fish, crab, Baracuda,

and a hermit crab (not dead). There were hundreds of hermit crabs along the cost. Teeny tiny ones smaller than my pinky nail. So cute!

This was our ride out to go snorkling. Fastest speed boats in the world.

This was on the private beach they took us to for a BBQ and a hike through the tropical forest. Good times, good times. I am so glad we went on this trip! Every time we have gone on a vacation together without our kids, (all 3 times) we've had so much fun together, like when we were dating. I forgot how cool I am. Ha ha! I come away feeling like I'd choose him all over again. Another thing trips are good for is realizing you're glad you have kids, because without them, you wouldn't have much to live for. And it's the best feeling to come home after a week away and have them jumping up and down, so excited that you're home.
