Up on the rim playing in the snow. Little "H" was mad the whole time and refused to look at the camara. :)
"S" getting creative, built a chair. :)
Steve getting some "big air" hee hee.

I know, I know, It's been so stinking long since I sat down and blogged! I don't even know where to begin. This break has been a sweet vacation. Especially having Steve home. We've had so much fun. I'll be sad when he has to go back to work. :(

All 17 Whiting cousins got together at my mom and dad's for their annual Halloween Bash. My mom loves to go all out on the food and games. The kids had a blast with treasure hunts, and making magic brew. Thanks for the fun time m & d.
Our little spider princess...wow, she looks like a teenager...yikes!
'T' with his "tough guy" face on. Princess 'H' making her grand entrance.
Our three ...sleeping beauty, spider princess, and the cop, plus niece tinkerbell. :)Because of the Cali fires, my sister Lori got to come stay the week with us. My kids had fun with their cousin "S" She is too cute! Every time she woke up, she would yell "HI" and give us all hugs. She played so well with 'H'. She misses her already. Thanks for staying with us Lori and Trev!

TAGGED!

My Husband...

What is his name? Steve

How long have you been together? We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in Jan. :)

Who eats more? You would think Steve, but I can out eat him.

Who said I love you first? No brainer--Steve. I freaked out when he said it and said back... "Is it okay if I don't say that yet?" ??????

Who is taller? Steve

Who sings better? I do, but I've been working on Steve for a while, we just may surprise you someday.

Who is smarter? Steve. The only thing I have on him is music. Together we can figure things out.

Who does the laundry? I do mostly.

Who does the dishes? He does mostly

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Is there a wrong side?

Who pays the bills? I do, with his money. :)

Who mows the lawn? Steve will always.

Who cooks dinner? We seem to switch off. He likes to cook. (Lucky Me)

Who drives when you are together? He does.

Who is more stubborn? Me

Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Steve

Whose parents do you see the most? Steve's

Who kissed who first? Steve kissed me. Up on Mt. Graham under the stars.

Who proposed? Steve did. We had gone to a musical at Gammage and took a walk around the temple. He had some roses hidden in the bushes where we ended up sitting, and pulled them out like a magician, then his glasses fogged up as he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. Really romantic!

Who is more sensitive? He used to be, now I am the emotional rollercoaster

Who has more siblings? Tie... He has 4 sisters and 1 brother, and I have 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Who wears the pants in the family? I would say we both have our own leg. Sometimes he's in front, sometimes I am, but most the time we stand side by side.

I tag.....

"Music Touches Hearts That Words Cannot"

For those of you who know me, know I love music. I love how it enriches people's lives. I have the best job in the world, (next to being a mother) I have been teaching a music program called "Let's Play Music" for 5 years. I only teach 1 day a week, so it doesn't take too much time away from my family. And best of all, I get to do what I love. My students are so great! More than a few of them are children of friends I grew up with. It is so fun to see my friends through their kids! I really enjoy teaching, they are all so cute! I wish I had a picture of them to show here. Maybe soon I will remember to take one.
One of the things I love about what I teach is that I feel like I am making a difference in the world by teaching children to sing, play piano, and appreciate music. Music is a gift that blesses us all, well, as long as it is good music :) So, I will keep doing what I am doing until I can do it no more. :)

My Baby Turns 3!

So sad my baby is 3 years old! I see why people hang on to that last one. I really don't want her to grow up. I can never get enough of her little voice. She is 100% girl. Favorite color, pink. Favorite thing to wear, pink princess dress, or pink leotard. She loves to brush my hair, and pretend to put on my makup. I love when she speeks "valley girl". It's hillarious! Well, here's a little poem I wrote the other day for her. A little cheesy, but from the heart! :)

H..., H..., you’re our girl.
You’re sweet; you’re cuddly, and cute as a squirrel.
You dress up like a princess each day,
And say, “Let’s go shoppin!” and we’re on our way.

You cut off your hair simply to say...
“I just wanted short hair….OKAY?”
You have your way of getting your choice,
But who can say no to that sweet little voice???

H..., H..., what would we do,
If through our life we didn’t have you?
You get along with everyone
You’re happy smile shines like the sun!

The way you say your “please and thank-you’s”,
And how you “sign” your ‘I love you’s’
We love you H... and all agree
We’re glad you’re a part of our family!

My Little One Is Growing Up!

I finally had S. pictures done in her baptism dress. She grows so fast, I didn't want to miss that opportunity. My friend Robin offered to do it. She's a great friend and photographer as you can see. I can't believe how beautiful S. is. Watch out boys... Steve's got a gun. :)

My Good News Moment

Yahoo!! I went to the doctor today and he took a look at my vocal cords and the nodule is just about gone! So all the prayers, and not talking is really paying off. I should be back to singing in just a few weeks! Oh Happy Day!

Jenny's Not Talking?

This is what my kids are doing. I have just entered a new challenge of "not speaking". So don't get offended or think I'm being rude, I'm not allowed to speak. I went to a specialist who put a scope down my throat and found a little nodule---which is called a 'vocal nodule'. No, I did not get this from yelling at my kids. I had laryngitis and taught music for three hours and didn't give my voice a break. And then I continued to sing. Pretty much whatever you are not supposed to do with a sore voice I did. :( The only way to get rid of it is to not use your voice for a few weeks or more. The first couple days was kind of fun. My kids had fun playing charades, and thought it was pretty funny to see mom get mad and not be able to vocalize this. Facial expressions and arm gestures looked pretty funny to them I guess. But now they sometimes refuse to look at me so they won't have to "see" what I'm saying. (That is supposed to say "NOT FUNNY" Even Steve likes to tease me and look away. At least he's being a good sport. Hey, what do I know, maybe he's living every man's dream. He comes home and I don't say a word. :) Just kiddin. I know it's not fun for him either to not hear me say what a stud he is! Well, I'm just going to hope this goes by fast! And also hope I don't explode! AHHHHHHH. There's my audiation scream today.

Okay, so blogging looks so fun, I'm in! Don't know exactly what I'm doing but oh well, I hardly ever do! :) Here's our family. I am loving being a mom. Even with it's challenges, you can't beat this job!
